Insomnia and Anxiety Study
Please read below for more information, and scroll down to apply now.
Many Australians experience symptoms of anxiety and insomnia - feeling on edge, worried, and unable to get a good night's sleep, making day-to-day life more difficult.
If this sounds like you, the good news is that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help AND you can access this treatment online for free by taking part in our research study!
If you are 18 years of age or over, live in Australia, and currently experience insomnia and anxiety, you may be eligible for this study. Unfortunately, we can’t include people with bipolar disorder, psychosis, or schizophrenia, as we don’t have evidence that our program is helpful for these conditions. We also can’t include people who are suicidal.
The application process involves 3 stages:
1. Online screening questionnaires (approx. 10 mins): a few brief questionnaires about your symptoms.
2. Telephone interview (approx. 30-40 mins): you will speak with a clinician to discuss further information about your symptoms.
3. Sleep diary (approx. 2-3 mins per day, for 7 days): a few quick questions about your sleep, each morning over a 7 day period.
If you are interested in participating in our study, please read the Participant Information Sheet and then click "Apply Now" below to register and get started on some questionnaires to work out if this is the right study for you.
